Quality is inherent in everything we do, and we consistently provide unparalleled quality in the aerospace and defense markets we serve. Our goal has been to make quality a differentiator to allow us to stand out as a trusted supplier.

When confronted with new quality requirements and challenges, the Mech-Tronics team embraces them for the purpose of continuous improvement. Our goal is to improve with each customer engagement, and then apply those improvements and the knowledge gained to future projects across our entire customer base.

The Mech-Tronics Quality Clinic is a data-driven initiative that helps identify where the next improvement project will be. If an aspect of a particular project is non-conforming, we track it by process center and every internal and external escape is charted and reviewed by our quality team. Our team then performs a Pareto analysis and looks for a tall pole. A Kaizen event is initiated utilizing 6 Sigma tools such as FMEA or PFMEA, 6S, Gemba walk and Value Stream Mapping. Data is tracked over time and the team reviews the data to ensure the issue is fixed and improvements are achieved.

The Mech-Tronics Quality Clinic drives Relentless Root Cause Analysis for non-conformances using the eight disciplines (8D) model approach to identify, correct, and eliminate problems; using tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagram (also known as the Cause & Effect Diagram). Identifying root causes and using mistake proof techniques (Poka-Yoke) is the key to preventing similar recurrences.

Mech-Tronics has achieved certification in some of the most stringent quality standards in the industry, including AS9100:2016 Rev. D, ISO 9001:2015 and Nadcap accreditations for Heat Treating (including Aluminum Dip Brazing), Chemical Processing (Chemical Film and Paint), and Welding (Resistance Spot Welding and Fusion Welding). The implementation and integration of these quality standards ensures optimal product quality and customer satisfaction.
