GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Model 257 High Voltage Power Supply provides up to 2mA of current over the voltage range of 0V to 2kV with low ripple and excellent regulation. Output current capability is sufficient for most photomultiplier tubes, and any detector requiring less than 2kV and 2mA can be accommodated. For applications requiring less than 200V and/or 20µA the supply can be reconfigured by the user for optimal performance over these ranges. A front panel 10-turn potentiometer and digital voltmeter allow precise voltage adjustment, and the output can be enabled or disabled with a front panel on/off switch or via a rear panel logic input. The supply does not generate audible noise. |

| HV Inhibit: | Real Panel BNC input, < + 1.5V shuts down H.V. output to 0V (driver must sink 1mA), > + 3V (or open circuit) restores output. |
