GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Model 256, single width NIM high voltage power supply, provides up to .5mA current over the voltage range of 0 to 5kV. The output voltage control, a front panel mounted 10 turn potentiometer with duo dial, provides continuous precise setability of the output over the 5kV range. Output voltage is equal to five times the dial reading. A front panel meter provides visual indication of the output voltage. Output voltage polarity is controlled by an internal jumper plug which when rotated, reverses the High Voltage rectifiers and polarity indicator control, switching output voltage polarity and indication. The output is short circuit protected for momentary or continuous output shorts or arcing over the full temperature range of 0-50°C. |
